Even our brightest* have ZERO CLUE about politics.
But they’ll make decisions about politics based on a limited, skewed version of reality.
Might as well watch Fox, for all the difference that makes.
These people regurgitate headlines.
They don’t read or understand the article.
And they likely don’t separate out an article’s author’s impression from the facts that are presented.
They read headlines then congratulate themselves for being “informed”, lol.
Nevermind the fact that political authors know this, and title headlines to reflect their agenda – often regardless of whether the title matches the content of the article.
TOO MANY PEOPLE WANT TO BE TOLD WHAT TO FEEL AND WHAT TO THINK.
STOP BEING DUMB – IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, DON’T SAY IT.
NOT TO ME AT LEAST, UNLESS YOU LIKE HAVING A BIG FIGURATIVE RETARD MARK STAMPED ON YOUR FOREHEAD.
*I give too much credit, clearly.
Also remember that when you are too dumb or too lazy to spend the time to get your own opinion right, you are failing yourself and your country and very likely voting against your own best interests (I’m looking at you Kansas). Don’t get your opinions from commercials.
I’ll likely get some flack for this post.
Its a blog, get over it.
I’m a dick because people are too busy to learn before they decide.
Here, the last two budgets – learn something.
Bush, fiscal year 2009 (October 1, 2008 to October 1, 2009)
The wars are listed as part of an emergency supplementary bill – not counted against the deficit despite it counting as much as it would otherwise. Budget trick. TARP was signed by bush, but shows up on Obama’s because the presidency and the fiscal year doesn’t match up. Same with the auto bailouts, fannie and freddie, etc.
If you go through this is thoroughly as I did a while back, you’d notice a number of cuts that don’t get much attention and the only increases being the stimulus (under 15% combined with small increases to mandatory programs). And next year you’ll notice some luxury programs were cut from out bloated military budget (we don’t need to kill everyone else on earth 50 times over). Give me better paid teachers – make that a prestigious job. In addition to be truthful about the war’s financial costs, the Obama administration has banned several other budget tricks used by Bush which shaved hundreds of billions off the official deficit numbers.
That added transparency “cost” us an extra $400 billion, straight to the deficit. Cost is in quotes, because its not a new cost, despite showing up on the deficit for the first time in 8 years. So when people, especially conservatives complain about budgets I laugh at them for not knowing anything. These same people complain about transparency, lol. The transparency added more to the deficit than obama’s spending did, morons.
When I don’t know much about a subject, I ask questions, do research or shut my yap, rather than pretend I can make a good decision about something I’m unfamiliar with. So watch yourself, there are dicks like me out there that will correct you. And I’m not above making you feel dumb about your failings.
How’s that for a rant?
